  3. My worst nightmare is a dream that I have a lot.
I'm running and not getting anywhere, I don't know what i'm running from but i'm always terrified. I usually wake myself up by falling in the dream.

    1. I used to have a similar dream, Tracy, but I was flying instead of running and I wasn't terrified but rather enjoyed it. I suppose your subconscious is trying to tell you something, mine definitely was back then

  4. I just had this nightmare two nights ago. I was sleeping and woke to the voices of men talking about trying to get in. I could not move, I was paralyzed with fear. Finally, I managed to crawl to the door, only to discover the lock was broken. I had a stick that I used to lay in the door track, but, of course, it was gone. When I woke up, I still thought it was real. I finally did get up a lock the door for real, just in case.

    1. OMG, Cinders, this is so horrible, I don't even know what to say, other than that I'm really, really sorry you had to go through this. Big hugs to you, my dear

  6. I have an awful fear of heights. It has taken away my joy many times at anything where a view could be appreciated. I think it's more than just looking down from a great height, but the idea of falling from that height is intertwined with the height fear itself. Many, many nightmares about this. Always feels so real, which is why it's so devastating.

One additional fear, and this is appropriate, considering that I live in Louisiana: a fear of alligators. I've been on swamp tours and such, seen them up close there and at the zoo, but there is a fear of falling overboard, and being torn apart....!

    1. I can definitely relate to the fear of heights, Jim. I'm not keen on heights at the best of times, but a while back we took the kid to a huge shopping centre that had glass walls so you could look down all three floors... I was literally paralysed when she went to stand in front of that wall and had to ask my man to get her back because I couldn't bear it.

    1. Ugh, definitely a horrible scenario, Andrea! I grew up near a river and a couple of times a car ended up in it - not mine, fortunately, and I think in all cases the drivers did not get trapped
