Book Tour: Turn Card (The Kathleen Turner Series) by @Destiny Blaine #Romance #Military

~Not everyone plays by the rules~

Kade Dennon tried to stay away from his brother’s girlfriend and remain loyal to the only family he’s ever known but Kathleen Turner is his forbidden fruit. Eventually temptation drags Kade back to Indianapolis and the one woman who feels like home.

~The players changed but the game remains the same~

Kathleen Turner knows what she wants and who she desires. She seizes a new job and an opportunity unfolds. Soon, she’s working with her boyfriend’s brother and nothing will ever be the same again when Kade stakes a claim and aims for Kathleen’s heart.

~It's impossible to break a player who refuses to lose~

Blane Kirk needs his brother Kade to keep his girlfriend safe but when Blane sends Kathleen out of Indianapolis to protect her, he has no idea what kind of danger Kade and Kathleen will find while testing a new Las Vegas casino loyalty program. When an old enemy resurfaces with threats and an agenda, Blane goes to Sin City to warn his brother and discovers a few unwanted surprises of his own.

~A house of cards now destined to fall~

Working side by side, Kathleen’s and Kade’s relationship quickly changes, a fact they can’t deny. Seduction and passion lead them to a night that will scorch the sand right off the Mohave Desert and this time, foreplay won’t sustain them. With no one to stop them, Kade and Kathleen tread into the realms of unforgivable betrayal. And when Blane arrives in Vegas, he realizes too late that his brother is now playing for keeps.

 “What are you doing?”
He unlatched the sliding door and stepped out on the terrace. “What does it look like I’m doing?” His eyes twinkled with man-lust, the absolute longing as evident as the mischief.
“We’re naked.”
“Why are you whispering?” He laughed, turning his head and adding with a shout, “I’m on the rooftop with my girl and she’s beautiful and sexy and very, very naked!”
Below them, the Las Vegas Strip responded with the busy traffic almost mocking them with an abundance of honking horns and squealing tires.
“Kade!” She slapped his chest playfully and that’s when his words hit her. It wasn’t the first that he’d called her out as ‘his’ girl.
“No one is watching us,” he promised her, the seriousness returning. “No one cares.”
“I do,” she admitted softly, meaning something entirely different than what he’d implied.
He inched closer to the hot tub, studying her face as if he were seeing her for the very first time. Then, a second later, a veil dropped over his solemn expression and the light of mischief returned, burning brighter than before.
“Don’t even think about it,” she said, holding tighter to his neck. “I don’t want to mess up my hair.”
“That’s bound to happen either way,” he said gruffly.
“Kade.”
“Princess.”
“Don’t you—”
Splash! Splash!
He dumped her over the side and followed right behind her. The hot water and cool night air were a perfect combination. She came up for air, gasping and laughing.
The large tub was more like a private plunge pool. She swam to the other side, admiring Kade as he shook out his watered-down hair before smoothing his hands over his head and stalking her.
Without another verbal exchange, he went to her then with apparent goals. He dragged her away from the wall of jets, pulling her to his lap as he settled against a corner seat in a private alcove.
Underneath her bottom, his manhood stretched and she pressed against him. “Kade.” She faced him, careful not to rush a more intimate connection as she lowered her mouth to his and took the lead.
After a minute of kissing, he dropped his head to her breasts and from that moment on, the groping turned physical. Their hunger drove them. Their desires for one another kept them bound to more carnal intentions.
“Turn around.” His demanding voice left her with a tingling sensation in all the right places. Her stomach tightened as he positioned her in front of him, making sure she faced outward. At that point, he brought her back to his lap, his mouth a haven of merciless passion, splendor like she’d never known.

Guest Interview with Iris Blobel, Author of Australian Sports Stars Series #Sports #Romance

The business questions
Please give us a short introduction about yourself
I was born and raised in Germany, met my Australian husband in Canada and followed him the other end of the world in the late 1990s. I have two beautiful girls who keep me on my toes, a dog, and a couple of budgies. I started a writing a few years ago, and can’t stop the voices in my head since – but I’m loving their company.
Tell us about your latest release.
My latest release is book #3 in the Australian Sports Stars series, I think I love you. It’s about soccer player Markus DeLeon and childhood friend Sarah who cross the line between of being friends and lovers – and don’t seem to be able to know how to deal with the new situation.
Describe your feelings when you learnt that your first book was accepted for publication.
OMG, I think we went out for dinner that day, celebrated, and I’m sure I told everyone who’d listen … and those who wouldn’t. I felt humbled and excited about the idea that a publisher liked my story. It was really bizarre. Nowadays I get a lame “Well done, mum” from my girls, which makes me laugh and cry at the same time.
Where do you find inspiration?
I usually get new ideas for my books while on holidays. We all like travelling and we’re always having a great time. So most of my stories are set based on places I’ve been to.
A favourite line from one of your books
I’ve got a few J
“My knee, my injury, my questions.” from Let Me Love You
“That, my dear, is a mystery to be solved.”  From Love Will Find You
“I’m not sure whether you're my lemonade. You seem more like cola to me. Tempting and yummy, but not good for one's health." From New Beginnings
Your favourite drink and food when writing
Zero Coke and homemade waffles

The nosy ones
What’s the silliest error in a book you’ve submitted?
Oh wow, considering that English is my second language, there are quite a few, but sorry, I cannot recall one in particular.
Favourite comfort food?
Unfortunately I’ve accumulated a nice amount of food intolerances, so comfort food doesn’t exist anymore – but it used to be bikkies.
A person you admire
My mum.
If you could ask any person in the world one question of your choice, who would it be and what would you ask them?
Anybody  -  “Why do we hate?”

The fast ones
Favourite colour? Auburn
Favourite pet? Our dog Jasper.
Dog or cat? Cat
Coffee or tea? Earl Grey Tea
Quickie or candles? Candles
Hunky or chunky? Hunky
Suit & tie or jeans & boots? J & B

Markus DeLeon and Sarah Winter’s lives couldn’t be more different…

After three years away as the goalkeeper for an English soccer club, Markus has been happy to be back in Australia. He’d missed his family and friends, including Sarah. He’s known her since childhood, and often protected her from the teasing of other children and the troubling consequences of a broken home.

When they attend their friends’ wedding, a new light is cast on their friendship…

Sarah is fresh out of a bad relationship, and Markus has always been the one she can confide in. Maybe it’s the magic of the wedding—or how stunning he looks in a tux—but the attraction between them intensifies in ways they’d never imagined.

But sometimes when risking what you have, you might lose everything…

Following a passionate encounter, Markus isn’t sure how to handle this new aspect of his relationship with Sarah, and literally flees the scene for the coast. Sarah is unsure how to react to his sudden departure, but is soon knocked off course by misunderstandings and a frightening family emergency.

Markus realises his mistake and wants to make things right, but he also faces obstacles. He’s been offered an exciting new job, and an attractive newcomer to the neighbourhood is eager to claim his attention, though the last thing Markus needs is another confusing relationship.

Can Sarah and Markus face the fear and doubt—and the potential loss of their lifelong friendship—to give their love a chance?

Guest Interview: Author Kathryn Lively #EroticRomance @MsKathrynLively #FlavoursofSage

Author Interview
Please welcome Kathryn Lively to The Flavours of Sage today!

The Business Questions

Please give us a short introduction about yourself
Thanks for having me. My name is Kathryn Lively and I write mystery and romance mainly, but venture into speculative and paranormal once in a while. I have been writing and editing for over twenty years.

What genre(s) do you write in and why?
As I mentioned above, primarily mystery and romance. I started out in cozy mysteries because I enjoyed reading so many of them in my youth. I grew up in the genre – reading Nancy Drew and Agatha Christie, watching Murder She Wrote. I got into romance first as an editor, then in time I decided I want to write my own stories. I like when characters end happily, and romance is my go-to for that.

Tell us about your latest release
I am currently finishing up a serialized romance through the Sexy To Go box sets. My story, “Geek Overboard” takes place on a cruise ship where a non-geek type, Natalie, has been abandoned by her boyfriend. She meets an actor who is a guest at the sci-fi convention held on the cruise, and agrees to pose as his wife to help his career.
I wrote the first installment of the story in Sexy To Go, Volume 6, and the second to last part comes out in Sexy To Go, Volume 11. I will wrap up the romance in Volume 12, due out late December.

Do you need a special setting to write in or do you have a ceremony to get you in the mood? What does it look like?
I do have a few rituals. Usually when I begin a story I crank up “Back in the Saddle” by Aerosmith, then get to work. I write at night after the day job is done and the husband is snoring in his chair. I typically get in a thousand words a day, unless I fall into the zone and go longer.

Describe your feelings when you learnt that your first book was accepted for publication
Oh, that was so long ago! I had written an inspirational saga more than fifteen years ago and had a hard time shopping it. When I finally received an acceptance I was thrilled. I had submitted to a small press, which later turned out to be a mistake. While I was happy at the time of acceptance, I consider that whole period a learning experience.

Has the release of your first book changed anything in your personal life? If so, what?
If anything has changed, it’s my belief that I am capable of seeing a book to completion. Confidence ebbs and flows, but I always look back on the first book I wrote and remind myself that I did it once before and can do so again. Make the time, set the goal.

Where do you find inspiration?
The better question would be where don’t I find it? J Seriously, I get idea everywhere – the news, songs, scenes I see while out shopping. I’m never at a loss for ideas.

Who is your favourite character and why?
This is a tough one. It’s like picking a favorite child. However, when I developed my two mysteries in the Rock and Roll series I enjoyed working on Lerxst Johnston, my sleuth. I’ve never had a son, and I suppose I wrote him as somebody I’d like to have in my family.

A favourite line from one of your books

The Nosy Questions

How much of the real “you” is in your stories?
Not much, I’m afraid. A book about me would bore you to tears. J I tend to write as an observer of the action.

What’s the silliest error in a book you’ve submitted?
Getting names mixed up. I HATE when I do that.

The steamiest scene from your books
It’s not been published yet, but I’m shopping a romance about two former child actors making a comeback. I’m progressively writing hotter with each new book.

Favourite comfort food?
Mac and cheese and lots of it.

The Fast Questions

Favourite colour? Purple
Favourite pet? Beagles!
Dog or cat? Dogs
Coffee or tea? Earl Gray. Hot.
Suit & tie or jeans & boots? Sharp dressed man
Walk in the park or chat over cocktails? I could use a walk.

Blurb:
Geek Overboard is a serialized romance appearing in the Sexy To Go multi-author box sets, starting with Volume 6, extending through Volume 12 (coming in December).

About the Book
Natalie can’t tell a Wookie from a Dalek, and when her boyfriend ditches her on a sci-fi convention cruise she gets a crash course in geekdom. Luckily there’s a handsome man at the ship’s pool to cure her boredom.
Colin Dawson, Daws to friends and fans, doesn’t mind playing third-tier celebrity at a fan event, but welcomes a boost to his public image, and career. Maybe if people believed he’s turned over a new leaf and married a pretty lady…
Natalie could get used to playing the role of celebrity wife, but when Colin’s fans and a popular entertainment blogger want details of her life with her new “husband” it gets sticky. Who knew a fake relationship was so much work?

Book Showcase: The Third Wife by @adammannauthor #EroticRomance #FlavoursofSage

Over 150 years ago, in fact in 1862, Mary Elizabeth Braddon published a book called Lady Audley’s Secret which went on the become a best seller at that time, and over the years the book has been serialized and films have been made based on this book.  The literary fashion in those days was accidental bigamy, and in the book the heroine deserts her child, pushes husband number one down a well, thinks about poisoning husband number two, and then sets fire to a hotel in which all her male acquaintances are residing.

In Adam’s novella a man whose middle name is by coincidence Audley is happily married with three daughters, and in his travels he stays in various small quest houses.  Over several years he is “seduced” by daughters in each house, and when each becomes pregnant he “marries” each of them.  Amazingly each of these wives is happy to have a part-time husband, and only one asks for child support.  The “scandal” does not become public until he loses his job, sues for unfair dismissal, and is awarded substantial damages.

Excerpt

When Roger arrived at the Guest House, he could see that they were trying to cram seven people into six beds, or that was what it looked like.
Alicia took him to the house next door, which although furnished was unoccupied, and took him to a room on the first floor.  He settled down and unpacked his overnight bag.
These Guest Houses never served dinner, so he walked along the road to a pub which served meals, and found Alicia’s other guests already there.  They asked Roger to join them, and they all laughed and chatted together.
“Alicia was kind in giving us her room,” said one, “so it just worked out.”
“She told us that she’s going to stay with a friend tonight,” said another, “but will be back to cook our breakfast in the morning,”
Roger was not really listening to this but he remembered later.
He walked back the house he was staying in, and opened the door.  Alicia was in the kitchen and offered to make him a cup of tea.
Roger sat down to enjoy the tea before going to his room.
“Good night,” he said as he stood and climbed the stairs to his room.
He dressed in his pyjamas, switched off the light and got into bed.  It was soft and warm and cozy, and for some strange reason smelled of Alicia.
About one hour later Alicia opened the door to his room and crept in to his bed.  She climbed in next to the sleeping Roger.  She wasn’t wearing too much, just a very short diaphanous nightie, and a determined grin.
In his sleep Roger sensed her presence and he moved to put his arm around her, so she wriggled her body under him.
He woke up suddenly.
“Alicia!” he was startled.

“Hold me tight, I’m cold,” she complained quietly…

About the author

R.J. Jones started as a reader and eventually made the progression to reviewing. It wasn’t until two men popped into her thoughts, insisting on telling her their story that she started to write.
It started with one scene. A hot and dirty one in the shower…

R.J.’s initial thought was if she could write their scene then they’d shut up and allow her to concentrate on other aspects of her day. Not so. That shower scene ended up being 3000 words long and three hours of work.  And still, they didn’t shut up.  They told her their entire story and she didn’t sleep for days. Sometimes she couldn’t keep up with what they were telling her and she had to keep a notebook by her bed.

Whilst she was writing their story a side character decided he needed his story told too. Then other characters followed suit.

You see the problem? If she ever wants to sleep again then she needs to write.

R.J. is a wife and a mother to two boys. She is surrounded by males. Even her dog is a boy.

New release: Sub-Dominant (Sub #4)

Putting a leash on a dominant sub is a task that may require two Doms to accomplish.

When relocation agent Eric Swann is assigned to ease young Connor Prescott into moving back to London, he expects the boy to be more enthusiastic—and less irritating.

Used to roaming freely among his mother’s D-list celebrity friends, Connor is anything but happy when his father decides to put him on a leash—a leash with a far too attractive handler on the other end. Secretly craving a man who knows how to yank his chain and show him exactly where the limits are, Connor does what he’s best at. He manipulates Eric into giving him what he wants, making the man reveal a side of him that Eric himself isn’t ready to accept.

Trained by one of the quirkiest Dom/sub-teams in the country, Dom Tyler Kane knows exactly how to handle a toppy sub. He keeps Connor on his toes, er, knees, in the bedroom, but when his capricious lover sets his heart on pushing yet another limit, Tyler finds himself not only with a dominant sub but also with a Dom who has yet to accept his true identity.
